Do you have your school exams soon? Are these the exams that could literally make or break you? And if you get crappy marks are your parents going to practically disown you (literally my 'rents) or just go nuts like normal parents? And do you think you're going to get crappy marks? If you answered yes to all those questions then read on my friend!

Let's start with the bad news: You're doomed.

The good thing is you're not alone. We're both doomed. If you look on the bright side 81% of students don't get what they want from their exam results so yeah they're also doomed.

Now for me I definitely don't want grief from my parents so here's some simple, easy to follow solutions on getting the results we want.

  1. Find somewhere you can study in peace. You can't revise with distractions everywhere so find a quiet place either in your bedroom, library or someplace special to you and no, that doesn't mean in your bed.
  2. Make a revision timetable. Make an allotted time for revision and I'd recommended atleast an hour everyday on the weekdays you have school and atleast three hours on Saturdays and Sundays.
  3. Actually pay attention in class and make the most of the resources available. Ditch your friends and become Miss No-Distractions. You can socialise with your friends any other time so don't use this classroom time to talk and not learn a thing. Make the most of your teachers. Ask for help on anything you're stuck on and let them explain. It's their job and they'd be more than happy to help.
  4. Make revision cards and place them everywhere on the fridge, mirror, notebook- everywhere! This helps you remember so much easier as you casually do day-to-day activities.
  5. Use past papers. This will help you become aware of what to expect in future papers and by answering some of the questions and marking them yourself you can see how you're doing with your learning
  6. Don't stress too much. Relax. Everyone knows stressing doesn't help anything. It just causes you to eventually make silly mistakes in your exam. Have a can-do attitude and believe in yourself. You. Can. Do. It.
That's all the tips from me. Comment below if you have any special techniques on how you study for tests! We'd all love that.

  1. I usually ask my brother and cousins who have already done the exam to help me revise.
